"Two of Mr. Norrish's best-known dogs were "Ch. Saddleback" and
"Ch. Graphic". Of "Saddleback" it was said that he was never beaten in the ring, winning his first challenge certificate in 1889, and continuing consistently to win until he was six years old. "Ch. Saddleback" passed into the ownership of Mr. W. Arkwright."
-- C.A. Robertshaw, 2000
"Probably no pointer bitch of the present day has been more successful than
"Molton Broom", whose chief progeny, by "Saddleback", are
"Molton Banner", "Molton Brake", "Molton Bronte", "Sandford Bang", "Sandford Quince", "Sandford Revel", "Beau o'the Border", and "Heather Graphic", all of which have gained their laurels in high class company."
-- R.Lee, 1893
