EKC, sire "Brag":
"Sir- In your article in last month's "Kennel Gazette" on Pointers, in giving the descendants of "Brockton's Bounce", you state that "Beau of Devon" was got by "Mr. Mason's Don", whereas he was by my "Don", the sire of which was "Brag", a dog that once belonged to Lord Sefton. And again you mention "Don of Devon" as belonging to Mr Bulled, whereas he is and has been from a pup. You will kindly give this a place in your next paper, and I thank you in anticipation. R.J. Stranger, North Molton, Devon Oct 3rd 1881" -- EKC Gazette, October 1881
