""Diarmid" 631H; (dog); W.Arkwright; br. owner; wh. 23 Feb. 02; s. Lorne, d. First Fiddle 887A; c. black. Lorne, s. Senor Don Pedro 33,599, d. Vesta. unr." -- EKC Studbook, 1903, Vol.XXXI

"It was less fortunate that the excellent early imports (Pointers in Scandinavia) were followed by dogs which were either pure or part bred of the black Pape-Arkwright strain. The all blacks were "Arkwright's Seasong", "Diarmid" and "Lawn Sleeves". "White Magic" was lemon and white, but her dame was an all white self coloured bitch of a creamy colour. I saw "White Light" as she was offered to me, but I was unimpressed with her work and turned her down." -- W. Maar, Pointers and Setters
