However ---

AKC pedigree for "Robert Le Diable 5556" (Vol.IV, 1887), lists "Croxteth's dam as "J.C. Macdonna's Jane (E8144)" out of "Lord Sefton's Sam" by "Lord Sefton's Flirt" with the following passage --- "The pedigree of 'Jane' as it appears above, was given to Mr. Goddeffroy by Mr. G. De Landre Macdona as being correct." ...

FDSB pedigree for "Jingo's Boy" (Vol.II, 1902), lists "Croxteth's" dam as "Jane" by "Sefton's Sam" out of "Flirt" ...
