EKC:
""9997 Bang II, Champion" -- Mr. R.P. Leach's, Beers, Cadbury, Tiverton, Devon. By "Bang (739)" out of "Bell", by "Sancho (1004)".
-- EKC Studbook, 1881, Vol.XIX
"A good many of "Ch. Bang's" progeny showed the hound coats and tails, more especially the dogs; bitches by him did not show a trace of the hound at all, but one of the best crosses was with "Leach's Belle". In the first "Bang-Belle" cross were "Ch. Bang II", "Ch. Bow Bells", and "Ch. Bell of the Ball". In the second litter were "Bonus Gaucho", "Peal of Bells", "Merry Bells", "Bona Belle", and "Tinkle", all of them large winners. Each of the dogs showed the Foxhound cross in their heads, tails, and coats, and were coarse all over, but all the bitches were full of quality and hadn't the least sign of the hound about them. Dogs bred from this cross would throw back to the hound a lot more than the bitches."
-- Daly, The Pointer as a Show Dog, quoting Mr. John Lee Bulled
""Bang II" ... did not produce a family of winners in a direct line, but his blood was very valuable in producing the proper nicks that brought various successful results."
-- Hochwalt, 1923, The Modern Pointer
"Bang's son, "Bonus-Sancho", out of "Leach's Belle", was bred to "Fursdon Juno" and thus
"Graphic" was produced.
-- Hochwalt, 1923, The Modern Pointer
""Lassie" and "Zeal", litter sisters, by
"Price's Bang", out of "Leach's Belle", were two more that cmae over this same eventful year ...
-- Hochwalt, 1923, The Modern Pointer
"Prince Albert Solms, of Branufels, Prussia, was the breeder of "Naso of Kippen", and he was whelped May 24, 1882. ... "Champion Maggie", his dam, was a splendid individual, by "Price's Bang", out of "Leach's Belle", which was by "Sancho", out of "Fan"."
